Health Information Technology
The Health Information Technology program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to secure jobs in today’s rapidly changing medical field.
Students have the opportunity to study and experience “hands-on” training with today’s advanced electronic health records software and develop the computer skills needed for the modern medical office. Each student has the opportunity to learn medical coding and insurance billing as well as basic medical office skills.
This program is designed so that every student may be able to reach the level of skill needed to succeed in today’s medical environment regardless of prior office experience or training.
Students will complete this program in 8 months. Successful completion of the Health Information Technology program requires a minimum of a “C” (77) average in all courses. Tuition and fees are $992 per term plus book costs. This class meets Monday –Friday, 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Certification Preparation - This program assists in preparing students for the following National Healthcareer certifications:
Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS)
Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
The certification exams will be administered at the Henderson-Chester County ISC facility.
This program will be taught at the Tennessee Technology Center at Crump—Henderson-Chester County ISC facility.
